Dr. Andrés Tittarelli is a Molecular Biotechnology Engineer from the University of Chile. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile. Andrés performed his first postdoctoral work in the laboratory of Dr. Salem Chouaib at the Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus (Villejuif, France), studying the role of hypoxia-induced autophagy in the gap junction-mediated intercellular communication and natural killer (NK) cell-mediated antitumor immune response. Then, he performed a second postdoctoral stay in the laboratory of Dr. Philippe Benaroch at the Institute Curie (Paris, France), where he focused his research on the study of toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) signaling in the context of wound healing. Currently, Dr. Andrés Tittarelli is an associate researcher of the Disciplinary Immunology Program at the University of Chile, where he carries out a Fondecyt Initiation Project.
